Jonathan EbingerBlueRun Ventures

    Jonathan Ebinger, General Partner, joined BlueRun Ventures in September 2000 and is based in Menlo Park. He focuses on communications, social commerce, and mobility opportunities.

    His previous experience includes Vice President of Marketing for Qwest Communications, and senior level positions at Bell Atlantic Internet Solutions and MCI Communications. In addition, Jonathan founded and successfully exited Simply Savings, an Internet shopping service.

    As an early-stage investor, Jonathan serves, or has served, on the board of a number of technology companies including Coupa, Enpocket, Kabbage, PayStand, Radius, Verve, and ZeeMee. He received his MBA from Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia, and holds a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech.

    He has been named a “Mobile Cloud 9″ Investor; 2010, 2012 and co-chairs UVA’s Batten Entrepreneurial Council, is on the board of Virginia Tech’s APEX Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and is a board member for The Asbury Foundation.

    Ebinger has served on The University of Virginia’s Jefferson Fellowship Selection Committee and has guest-lectured at Haas School of Business, University of California and the Pamplin School of Business, Virginia Tech. Additionally, he is a mentor for Stanford’s Entrepreneurship Courses E145 & E245.
